Lucia-Charlotte Ott
*1995, DE

currently based in Leipzig

Lucia-Charlotte Ott is observing socio-cultural, socio-political and structural movements, which she gets in touch with either directly and physically or online– through media and video- or livestream channels. Photographic or moving image material often acts as a starting point for further processes and translations into other media, physically or conceptually interweaving elements of text, sculpture and audiovisual content. The de- and reconstruction of image and narrative as well as the use of speculation within this process is a recurring strategy.

She holds a deep interest in investigating the aesthetics of differing political systems, power systems and the role of public space & the human body in relation to the present cultures of remembrance.
